lago is tall and flexible like a whip. He has the pale, inspired face of a poet, prophet or a demon. He wears his hair long. He has a high forehead and his blue-grey eyes are full of cool sadness. His face seems to be lit up by a source within him, giving out not a clear and steady light, but a tormenting, disquieting flame, which inspires, but does not purify. His is the face of an anchoret who has been praying all his life, but who has failed to find grace and save his soul. There is a disturbing strangeness about lago's entire appearance: his handsome face may at any moment turn into a demon's ugly visage. And it seems that this extremely plastic figure may suddenly start hobbling like some preposterous, hideous dwarf.
