Q: Since you didn't have a fixed scenario did you improvize during the shooting ?

T: No I did not improvize. Nostalgia was meticulously worked out—purely cinematographically, not from the dramatic point of view. The film, according to me, is very simple and without any complications. And what is extremely valuable is that it is modest, even austere in its artistic expression. Of course, it would have been even better had the entire action occurred in only one place. I shall try and solve that problem in my next film, that is, adhering to the unities of time and place.

The other thing I like about Nostalgia is the way it has been shot. I am very happy with the camera work—the movement of the camera—and the lighting. I like the frames with which the film was composed. They incidentally, are quite sparse.
