Let me be, 0 Lord,

the Camel of the Higher Income Group

who passes smoothly through

the eye of that needle.,

The price of wisdom

is too high,

but folly is expensive toOo

Strike a bargain with me. Lord.

I'm not a man of ample means.

There, despite your grace,

go I,

as venal and as vulnerable

as the rest of them»

All the same, for your grace,

such as it is,

I think thee, 0 Lordo

THE SENSUALITY OF TRUTH

Freshen for me. Lord,

every hackneyed truth,

and make her open

like a virgin

to her lover,

nervously, but with the first thrill

of making it at lastc

Do not choose me, 0 Lord.

to carry out thy pruposes.

I'm quite worthy, of course,

but I have my own purposes.

You have plenty of volunteers

to choose from, Lord,

Why pick on me, the selfish one?
