Due to incomplete statistics the relationship between the share of employment and the share of profit of Hindustan Lever cannot be analysed for the full decade 1971-1981. However, whatever data are available clearly indicate that, relatively to the share of profit it contributes to its parents, the employment in Hindustan Lever is remarkably small.
