ARE YOU A SALARIED EMPLOYEE?

HAVE YOU FILED YOUR INCOME TAX RETURN ?

Under the law, every person, including a person deriving income from SALARY alone, has to file an income-tax return if his total income during the previous year exceeded Rs 5,000 after taking into account the various deductions permissible under the Income-tax Act, 1961.

Filing a CORRECT RETURN OF INCOME will enable your Income-tax Officer to ENSURE that:

(a) ALL deductions permissible under the law are duly allowed to you;

(b) ANY excess tax paid is promptly refunded to you.

For Income-tax Return Form or further information please contact your assessing Income-tax Officer or the P.R.O. of the Income-tax Department.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO QUOTE YOUR PERMANENT ACCOUNT NUMBER ON YOUR RETURN. If you have not been so far allotted a Permanent Account Number, please contact your Income-tax Officer ^or Commissioner of Income-tax, to allot you one.
