Millions of people had to leave their homes and migrate to other parts to save their lives, thousands were killed, women were raped, houses burned. The inauguration of Indian independence did not see a war between the foreigner and the Indian people but it witnessed inhuman civil war between the Hindus and Muslims rendered inevitable by the tactics of avoiding an agrarian revolution.
