Countless future generations have laid their trust in us. Let us protect our environment now!

There is not an indulgence of nature that we have not enjoyed and exploited. We have mined the earth, felled great forests, contaminated our streams, rivers and seas with industrial effluents. We have chocked our cities with garbage and waste, poisoned the air that we breathe. We have ruined the earth and built great cities. We have turned fertile agricultural fields into barren land by setting up brickfields and sand quarries. We have deafened with needless noise our environs and burnt away our atmosphere. We have risked the extinc-tipn of our wild life and are losing our civic senses.

We have polluted, stained and destroyed our environment, calling it the march of civilisation and technology.

What are we leaving as the heritage for our further generations—an exhausted environ, a barren earth ?

Remember, our environment is not just for this generation, but fur all time to come. It we don't stop polluting now, tomorrow will be too late.
