In the wake of all these developments, the Indian working class has been slowly getting organised into the position of vanguard in the struggle for democracy, freedom, peace and socialism; Dialectical and Historical Materialism is naturally becoming the leading ideology of the most significant elements in politically awakened India. This indeed is the situation in which, as Marx observed over a decade and a half ago; 'Philosophy finds in the working class its material weapon; the working class finds in philosophy its spiritual weapon.'
