that the author of Science and Society in Ancient India will bring out a companion volume to cover a few other majoi sciences developed in ancient India so that the prevailing fantasies conceining them may be substituted by rationally assessed facts. Indologists and social scientists can help us also in understanding the ramifications which might have stunted the growth of these other sciences after tracing the direction that they had / taken during the initial phases.
