A Sindhi-English dictionary includes Perso-Arabic script and roman with diacritics. In order to display the full range of letters a Unicode font must be installed. Information and instructions are available on the Font help page.
The current version of the dictionary on this site is a partial conversion of the dictionary text restricted to a core vocabulary of 2,016 entries. Page images of the published dictionary are available as a very large file in PDF format. The complete text of the dictionary will be available on this site early in 2008.
A Sindhi-English dictionary is also available from Center for Research in Urdu Language Processing (CRULP). It was converted under a project supervised by Dr. Sarmad Hussain, who heads CRULP at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. The project was developed in collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Cole at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and funded by the South Asia Language Resource Center at the University of Chicago.
The data for this dictionary was most recently updated in June 2007.
