SIGNS

denotes a new head-word in Add2
ˊ over vowelhigh level tone (in Koṭgaṛhī words taken from Him.I) in tonic syllable when a sibilant or aspirate follows, when a following h has been lost, and when a voiceless aspirate precedes
ˋ over vowelhigh falling tone (in Koṭgaṛhī words taken from Him.I) in tonic syllable when a voiced aspirate or h precedes, provided that no sibilant or aspirate follows (and that no following h has been lost)
ˈdenotes following stressed syllable (in words taken from Him.I)
