To place an image of Ganesa (being a handful of moist cow-dung) on the top of a heap of corn before winnowing, as a security from demons.–Note. காவிக்கல், s. Reddle, red chalk, ஆதிரவிச்சிலை. காவிதோய்க்க, inf. To dye or tinge with red-ochre. காவிபிடிக்க–காவியேற, inf. To contract a reddish colour, as cloth by daily dipping. காவிபிடித்தபல்–காவிபற்றினபல்–காவிப்பல், s. Teeth colored with black ochre. 2. Teeth stained with betel composition. 3. Soiled teeth. காவிமண், s. Red ochre in powder, or loose earth. காவியேறினவஸ்திரம், s. A cloth made reddish by frequent dipping in water. காவியேற்ற, inf. காவேரி kāvēri,

KAVERI. தண்ணீருங்காவேரிதார்வேந்தனுஞ்சோழன். It is Kavery alone that is superior for its water; it is Sozhan alone who is illustrious as a king.
