Image Requests

To request a high-resolution image and/or reproduction rights to images located on our website or in our Digital Database Collection please write to huntingtonarchive@gmail.com and include the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your current professional or academic affiliation, if any
  • Your email address
  • Image title(s) or description(s)
  • Scan number(s)
  • Intended use
  • Additional information, comments or questions
The complete photo collection is not yet online. Therefore, if you are looking for an image and cannot find it, please write to the Archive at huntingtonarchive@gmail.com to see whether we have a photograph in our collection.

In addition, some materials on our website are not copyrighted to us, and, therefore, we are not always able to grant permission to use those images.

Photographic Donations

In the interest of preservation and access, The Huntington Archive will consider donations of photographic collections of Asian art. Those with photographic collections in need of a home now or in the future, please contact huntingtonarchive@gmail.com.
